I am taking English, Computer Design, Mass Media and Business classes at Green River College. As for the business class, I was glad to take it because I really wanted to take it. I watched “Shark Tank” and learned profit business in the class. There were about 20 people in each class, but there were no Japanese people except me. My homework is very difficult because I mainly submit reports, but I feel that my English skills are gradually improving. I watched movies in class and learned about social justice, and learned about social media backgrounds such as Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and Snapchat. The style of classes is different from Japan, and I think the students' motivation for studying is generally high.

Last month I visited New York and Los Angeles with my friend for five days each. It took about 18 hours from Seattle to New York via Las Vegas. On the first day, it was raining, but we went to Times Square. I was struggling because the subway in New York was as complicated as Tokyo, but I managed to get there. As expected, I was overwhelmed by the lights and brightness. There were many shops and advertisements. It was also very crowded. NY was too cold, but it was a beautiful place.

Next, I’ll talk about what I did in Los Angeles. It took about 2 hours from Seattle to LA. We were blessed with great weather. On the first day, we went to the Little Tokyo. There were Japanese restaurants and a Japanese-style supermarket. We ate Hiroshima-Yaki. It was delicious. On the next day, we went to Disney Land Parks. I was so happy because I really wanted to go there. There were more attractions than Tokyo Disneyland. However, it was a bit disappointing because there were not many restaurants and souvenir shops.
